Wow that is a big tower! Parents today your child brought home two notices. One is about our upcoming bowling trip and the other is about the cost of our papier-mâché project. Please send the permission form and money to school as soon as possible.
Today we made a graph on the Smartboard to show how many children we have in our family. Then we used paper body patterns to make all the members of our family. Today we had a visit from an artist named Shirley. She brought all the materials we needed to make a papier-mâché picture frame with a frog on it. We squished our hands into toilet paper mixed with glue and water. She is coming back in two weeks to help us paint our frames. Today we made number stories for 10 by knocking down the bowling pins. In the afternoon we made our Valentine pouches. As soon as your child has their Valentine cards finished please send them to school. This will avoid a rush on Friday. We had a wonderful time skating at North Surrey this week. Many children were stepping out onto the ice for their very first time. Thank you so much to the many parent drivers and a special thanks to the parents who came out onto the ice to lend a hand!
Remember we are going ice skating tomorrow morning at the North Surrey Recreation Centre. Parents who are driving are asked to come to the classroom at 8:50. If you are not driving, please send your child with gloves, helmet and booster seat. Today Nilix brought his baby brother to school. We found out that children at school have learned many things since they were babies. |
