Today was twin day at Dogwood. We all wore our school t shirts to the assembly. Even Mrs. Watt and Mrs. Mitchell were twins. Today we practiced counting by ten. Did you know we had 220 fingers at school today? While the grade ones played the ten frame game on the Smartboard, the kindergartens worked with the big dominos. Below is the link to Morgan's book she made on the ipad using the app, Book Creator. Her book is in video format because she has added her own voice to some of the pages. Way to go, Morgan. This Thursday, January 29 is our school-wide Twin Day. All Dogwood students are encouraged to dress like a friend. Our class and Mrs. Mitchell's class will be wearing our class t-shirts on that day. Please have your child wear a light t-shirt to school on that day and we will help them put the school shirt over it. Jeans or black pants on the bottom would work best. It will be fun to have 44 twins!
We are fortunate to have the assistance of a college student, Lauren who is volunteering her time to help in the class on Monday mornings. Lauren's career plan is to become a teacher. Here she is reading a story to the class. Today in Music we played a game with Mr. McRae called Bell Horses. Watch this!
