Today I introduced a new routine called Math Entry Activities. Each week there will be four different math activities from a variety of math strands placed on each of the four tables in the classroom. When the children come in from recess, they go straight to their table and begin playing their activity for that day. These activities review a concept already covered in a previous lesson. They play for a short time then we clean them up and begin our new math lesson for the day. The next day, the activities are rotated to a different table so each child gets an opportunity to play all four of the activities.
